Space Maintainer (Lower lingual arch)

Space maintainers are usually placed to hold space when a baby tooth is lost early. We will also sometimes use them as early retainers to hold teeth straight while we wait for permanent teeth to erupt.

Of all orthodontic appliances, these have got to be the easiest to get used to and care for. They are very smooth and usually don't create any discomfort at all.
