Kagney
Kagney really benefited from the expansion of the Damon system. See how her teeth even look larger in her smile. She didn't have any restorations at all... just braces.

Tracy
Tracy shows what can happen when we combine our efforts with an excellent restorative dentist. Tracy had braces to open her bite and line up the margins of her gum tissue. Then, she had a procedure called crown lengthening done, to actually make the teeth larger. Finally, her dentist went in the restored the worn edges on the upper front teeth with veneers. A lot of work for sure... but I'd say it was all worthwhile.

Miranda
Miranda's front teeth were fairly crowded and she had a significant overbite. As the canines came down, they helped give her a nice full smile. She wore her rubber bands well and has a great looking smile to show for it.
-
Sarah
I think the difference in Sarah's smile speaks for itself. Quite a change for 20 months in braces!
-
Megan
Megan is Laura's sister (photos below). She had severely crowded lower front teeth. We expanded both her upper and lower arches to give her a beautiful full smile.
-
Laura
Laura (Megan's sister from above) had an underbite and some very crowded teeth. We expanded her upper arch with braces only (no palatal expander appliances were used) and brought her front teeth forward to correct her bite.
-
Savannah
Savannah had an overbite that we corrected with a combination of braces and a Herbst appliance. The Herbst allowed her lower teeth and chin to come forward, giving her a much more balanced profile. Also, look at the difference in the size of her smile from the Damon braces.
-
Kathy
Kathy had a crossbite of her back teeth on both sides. That happens when the upper jaw is too narrow to fit outside the lower jaw. This can sometimes require a surgical procedure to widen the palate. In Kathy's case, we were able to get the expansion with just braces.

Alex
See the difference a full smile makes? Bringing down Alex's canine (eye) teeth and expanding the back teeth made her smile appear much fuller.
-
Macy
Macy is Alex's younger sister. She had similar problems with her canine teeth being too high. Fortunately, we were able to help her as well.
-
Quinn
Quinn had very narrow arches that would have definitely needed teeth extracted in years past. However, we were able to expand his arches with the Damon System, giving him a full smile that will look that esthetic for the rest of his life.
-
Brandon
Brandon had a very deep bite and lots of crowding. Notice how much his upper teeth cover the lower teeth. He also had a narrow smile that didn't fill out the corners of his mouth when he smiled. We were able to talk Brandon into wear some rubber bands to correct his bite (it took a little convincing). We also used the Damon braces to expand his arches, giving him a fuller smile.

Anna
Sometimes, the best treatment involves the extraction of permanent teeth. That's what we did for Anna. We removed four premolars (2 top and 2 bottom) to allow us to pull the upper and lower front teeth back into a more ideal position. Notice how much easier it is for her put her lips together. Her profile is more balanced and comfortable.
-
Alaina
Alaina had a crossbite of the back teeth on the right side. Notice how in her before pictures, her top teeth on the right side fit inside her bottom teeth. We were able to expand her top teeth with braces only (no palatal expander was needed in her case) to get them outside the bottom teeth.

Sidney
Sidney didn't have any permanent teeth removed. Her smile is much fuller and brighter than before she got braces. Because expansion sometimes takes a little time with the Damon system, Sidney wore her braces a little longer than most of our patients do...she had them on for 28 months. But, what a change - I think she'd say it was worth it!

James
15 months in braces! James had what is known as an underbite. That's when the bottom teeth are ahead of the top teeth. Check out the change in his profile... and he didn't have jaw surjery. That's all from the braces - and him wearing his rubber bands.
-
Kira
Kira only had her braces on for 20 months! What a difference it made for her smile. Not only does her new smile look great, she has a much healthier bite. Brushing is also so much easier now that her teeth are straight.
-
Samantha
Samantha also didn't need to have any permanent teeth removed to get her beautiful smile. Her top front teeth started a little behind her bottom front teeth (a mild underbite). We were lucky enough to get to fix her bite before her top front teeth started to chip or wear down from biting too hard on the lower teeth. Bringing the eye teeth down really can change a person's face, can't it?!

Cody
Cody had a LOT of crowding of the lower teeth. Crowding occurs when the arch size isn't quite big enough to fit all of the teeth. When the arch is too small, the teeth end up getting pushed out of the arch - sometimes further than others. Usually, we end up expanding the arch with the braces to make enough room for the teeth to fit. That's what we did for Cody.
